Causes marked teratogenic effects when administered to pregnant rats at critical times of embryogenesis (i.e. days 8-10 post-coitum) and carcinogenesis if administered later (i.e. days 10-12); Repeated SC injection or oral dosing to pregnant rats produces malignant tumors of brain, olfactory bulb, mammary glands, and liver as well as leukemia in offspring; [HSDB]
