Coniine from the poison hemlock (Conium maculatum) is a nicotine-like alkaloid that causes vomiting, pallor, and diaphoresis that usually resolves within 1-2 hours. In severe cases, patients have seizures and respiratory arrest. [Olson, p. 383, 337-8] Oral LD50 (mouse) = 100 mg/kg; [RTECS]
