Humans exposed to this solvent in carbonless-copy paper complain of headaches, irritation of skin and eyes, and fatigue; Inhalation of high concentrations can cause decreased activity in exposed animals; No adverse effects in 28-day feeding study of rats fed as high as 0.1%; Caused liver, kidney, and heart injury when fed to rats at 800 mg/kg/day for 10-15 days; [HSDB]
