Comments
In human poisoning cases after ingestion, causes rhabdomyolysis, acute renal failure, and pulmonary edema. Target organs are the skeletal and cardiac muscles. [HSDB] Causes tremor and convulsions in lethal dose feeding studies of rats; Moderate eye irritant and mild skin irritant in rabbits; [RTECS] Adverse effects in chronic feeding studies of rats include skeletal and heart muscle damage, decreased leukocyte count, and weight gain. The acceptable daily intake (ADI) is 0-10 ug/kg; [JECFA]
