There are 22 possible isomers; IARC classification for 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-para-dioxin is "known" and for other isomers is " not classifiable"; Polychlorodibenzodioxins have caused chloracne in humans; 2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzodioxin is the most toxic of the polychlorodibenzodioxins tested so far in animals; Transferred to infants in breast milk; No increased birth defects in persons exposed in Seveso incident; All Seveso patients with severe chloracne had TCDD levels >12,000 ppt; [HSDB] See "2,3,7,8-Tetrachlorodibenzo-p-dioxin."
