Exposure Assessment

BEI
Inorganic arsenic plus methylated metabolites in urine = 35 ug As/L; end of workweek;
Bioaccumulates
Yes
TLV (ACGIH)
0.01 mg/m3, as As
PEL (OSHA)
0.01 mg/m3, as As
IDLH (NIOSH)
5 mg/m3, as As
Excerpts from Documentation for IDLHs
No inhalation toxicity data are available on which to base an IDLH for calcium arsenate. Therefore, the revised IDLH for calcium arsenate is 5 mg As/m3 based on acute oral toxicity data in animals [Lehman 1951] and to be consistent with the revised IDLH for other inorganic arsenic compounds which have a revised IDLH of 5 mg As/m3.
Explanatory Notes
NIOSH REL = ceiling of 0.002 as As, 15 min
