Used as a chemical intermediate for polyamide resins, imidazoline, and aminoamide surfactants; as a curing agent for alkyl acrylate and methacrylonitrile polymers; and as a hardener for epoxy resins; [HSDB] The hydrochloride salt is used as a chelating agent in the treatment of Wilson's disease; [AIHA]
