Used as antimicrobial for control of slime forming bacteria and fungi in oil recovery drilling muds and secondary injection water, packer fluids, metalworking cutting fluids, adhesives, resin emulsions, latex paints, wet-end additives, and industrial processing chemicals; [Reference #1]
