Acute presentation: flu-like illness with cough;
Subacute: recurrent "pneumonia";
Chronic: exertional dyspnea, productive cough, and weight loss;
The exposure is to moldy peat moss dust, and the suspected antigens are the fungi Monocillium sp. and Penicillium citreonigrum. [Murray, p. 1784] See "Hypersensitivity pneumonitis."
