Asthma has been reported in workers manufacturing foams, coatings, elastomers, adhesives, sealants, and fillers. Hazardous job tasks include foam spraying and coated wire production. [Malo] Chemicals include: TDI, MDI, and HDI. Hypersensitivity pneumonitis has been reported in workers exposed to isocyanates. "There were no cases of occupational asthma or accelerated decline in FEV-1 in 1195 person years of exposure in workplaces observing an ACGIH TLV-TWA of 5 ppb for airborne 1,6-HDI." [PMID 20881627]
