Comments
Toxic by ingestion--causes seizures and coma; [HSDB] Commercial neem formulations may contain other liminoids; Insecticidal effects are probable due to interference with several cellular processes; In animal experiments, causes neurotoxicity and reversible reproductive toxicity; Causes mild irritation and is a dermal sensitizer; In human case reports, encephalopathy develops within hours of ingesting 5-10 ml of neem seed oil; [Krieger, p. 147-54]
