May cause skin and eye irritation and skin sensitization; Mildly irritating to eyes and moderately irritating to skin of rabbits; In Beuhler topical patch test, 7 of 12 guinea pigs tested positive for skin sensitization, although formulated products (19-60%) produced no positive results; Effects in high-dose animal studies include histopathological changes to liver and kidneys; [HSDB] Does not uncouple oxidative phosphorylation or induce methemoglobinemia; [EPA Pesticides, p. 120] May cause irritation; [MSDSonline]
