Comments
CNS effects may include euphoria, delirium, agitation, muscle hyperactivity, and seizures. Cardiac effects may include arrhythmias, hypertension, hemorrhagic stroke, coronary artery spasm, and myocardial infarction. Death from overdose is usually due to fatal arrhythmias, status epilepticus, stroke, or hyperthermia. [Olson, p. 202-3] Use of cocaine during pregnancy is associated with premature birth, behavioral abnormalities of offspring, and possibly congenital anomalies of the urinary tract; [REPROTOX]
