Used to make insecticides, pesticides, fungicides, oil and gasoline additives, plasticizers, corrosion inhibitors, flame-retardants, and flotation agents; [Hawley]

Comments

A strong skin, eye, and mucous membrane irritant; A cholinesterase inhibitor; [Hawley] Occupational exposures have caused superficial corneal burns that fully healed; [HSDB] A highly corrosive cholinesterase inhibitor; [CAMEO] Effects in high-dose animal studies include convulsions and dyspnea; [RTECS] Highly irritating or corrosive to the skin and eyes of rabbits; Developmental inhalative studies with rats at doses ranging from 4.9-150 mg/m3 showed maternal toxicity and reduction in mean fetal weight, but no teratogenic effects; [IUCLID]
