The 5-desethyl analog of imazapyr; [ChemIDplus] In acute poisoning cases following ingestion of large amounts of an imidazolinone herbicide, patients have vomiting, hypotension, liver and kidney dysfunction, CNS impairment, and respiratory distress; May cause burns to the GI tract after ingestion; Not a skin irritant or skin sensitizer; [HSDB] May cause irritation; [MSDSonline] See "Imazapyr."
