Used as fungicide for agriculture and in leather industry; to make other fungicides such as Zineb, Maneb, Dithane m-45, and Manzate 200; as cooling-water slimicide; Not currently registered with the EPA for use in the US; [HSDB] Used as biocide in pulp and paper mills; [Merck Index] Has repellent effects on plant-eating Japanese beetles; [Ullmann] No longer used in agriculture; [Krieger, p. 1689] Registered for use to control algae and slime-forming bacteria and fungi in industrial water systems including pulp/paper mills and cane and beet sugar processing systems; [Reference #1]
