Thiurams are used mainly as rubber accelerators. In North America, they are the most common sensitizers of the rubber additives. Sensitization is usually from shoes, gloves, adhesives, condoms, rubber pillows, sheets, and clothing. Some of the thiurams are used as various pesticides, and some are used in plastics, putty, disinfectants, and adhesives. If patients have foot dermatitis and are thiuram mix sensitive, then it is probably from the shoes; If patients have hand dermatitis and are positive for thiuram mix, then they should avoid latex gloves or acquire thiuram-free gloves; Rubber chemicals in gloves are one of the allergens of hairdressers.
